Is this better? I usually call or RR in this spot. No read on villain.

This is a tough one. Villain could easily be doing this with 77-99. He could even be taking the view that this flop missed your "obvious" AK. The trouble is he is suggesting that you have to play a big pot. Do you really want to pay 70BB to find out whether your TT is good here? You are not yet committed so I'd be inclined to let this go against an unknown but I'd be keeping an eye on the BB for the future to try to get a feel for what hands he will do this with.

all in, not close [/ QUOTE ] nah, I found a better spot after I had a read on villain I think. He stacked off after limping with K2 and turned out to be an 88.5/5/.... lag tard. I owned him for 3 smaller pots before this one came up.... Maybe I could of skinned him earlier but I feel better about laying that hand down. How can you fold this?! [/ QUOTE ] Well, I hadn't seen the guy play, JJ,QQ are both reasonable calling hands from BB and I just had a bad feeling about his reraise. Only thing I'm beating is 88 99 and an underpair to the board or something like 7x. I'm still convinced he had me on that hand. |

nah, I found a better spot after I had a read on villain I think. [/ QUOTE ] This "better spot" stuff in reference to cash games makes me laugh. This is a cash game, there is no such thing. It's either a good spot or it's not. It doesn't matter if it's the "best" spot. I don't know why people post hands when they just want people to tell them what they want to hear. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, the only thing I can think of that would be of lower value than this is possibly commenting on a hand you think was posted for this reason. Take all the naked 5's out of the hand range and that is what I thought he held and that is why I folded. There have been two comments that agreed with me and several opinions from people I respect that said I should push. I'll probably push next time the situation arrives, but not because of anything you added to this discussion. |

I dont know that its better. I dont have a read. Im tempted to call and see what he does on the turn. Are we assuming he has an overpair here, or is he holding a mid-pair?
