Default Bringing cuban cigars back home?

Any advice on how to do this? I'll be traveling from the Pacific back to the US in 2 months. Carry-on? Luggage? Thanks for the help

simple. remove the bands and mail them separately. Then bring cigars in luggage.

Pack lots of coke in your bags and they wont worry about the cigars.

OP,

This doesn't help, but a friend of mine's cousin is a customs agent in Chicago, and my friend regularly gets shipped confiscated boxes of Cuban cigars from said cousin. Damn they're good.

Hawk - brought some back from Germany in checked luggage. They were rolled up in socks in a pair of shoes. No problem. Don't declare anything (I never do) and you'll be fine. Have fun!

I dont understand why everyone carries them on, I would think they would be a lot safer in checked luggage no?
