Who made you happy when they died?
So I just read that Jerry Fallwell, religious blowhard, died. My instant reaction to this news was a broad smile that coincided with me thinking "awesome!" I can only describe my reaction as fleeting glee followed by a momentary elation. This feeling passed quickly, and I found that I was not ashamed of my reaction. I am very glad this SOB is dead.
Anyway, this is the first time I can remember being happy when someone died. Usually my reaction to a famous person dying is either "Oh, they were still alive?" or a bored indifference. Very occasionally, if they were someone I had an emotional connection to (RIP Kurt Vonnegut), I felt a twinge of sadness. So, OOT, who has made you happy when they died? |

Re: Who made you happy when they died?
Well, there was this patient who sued one of my partners for ordering (an appropriate) CT of her neck and brain after a car accident - on the grounds that the CT resulted in the loss of her psychic abilities - she couldn't work as a psychic anymore.
The fact that I got to say to the group "....you would have thought she would have seen that coming." was a nice bonus.. MM MD |

Fallwell
My old vice princepal, who pretty much tried to [censored] up college chances for anybody who didn't look/act like the perfect image of suburbia regardless of their actual abilities. Hard to get too broken up about Sadam. |

Hard to get too broken up about Sadam. [/ QUOTE ] regardless of whether or not he deserved it, i just didn't feel right after seeing the sadam execution on the internet. it may have been the "trial" or the manner in which he was executed, but his death didn't bring the same feeling of hope that arafat's death gave me. |

Almost, but not quite. |
