\"Official\" WSOP ME Final Table Thread
It's almost time for the event most everyone has been waiting for, the final table of the WSOP Main Event for $12m and all the endorsements they can get.
Thanks to UMTerp for all of the info below: 2006 WSOP MAIN EVENT FINAL TABLE SEATING & CHIP COUNTS Seat 1 - Richard Lee (San Antonio, TX) - $11,820,000 (12.97%) Past Results - 1 Cash - $5,600 Day 1D Chip Count = $17,775 Day 2 Chip Count = $103,500 Day 3 Chip Count = $202,000 (164/481) Day 4 Chip Count = $606,000 (57/135) Day 5 Chip Count = $2,350,000 (12/45) Day 6 Chip Count = $3,275,000 (11/27) Age = 47, Entered via ?? [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Seat 2 - Erik Friberg (Stockholm, Sweden) - $9,605,000 (10.54%) Past Results - 2 Cashes - $88,634 Day 1B Chip Count = $77,675 Day 2A Chip Count = $175,700 Day 3 Chip Count = $125,000 (281/481) Day 4 Chip Count = $650,000 (47/135) Day 5 Chip Count = $5,905,000 (2/45) Day 6 Chip Count = $7,735,000 (2/27) Age = 23, Entered via Pokerstars satellite Erik Friberg, our 23-year-old PokerStars qualifier from Stockholm, Sweden, has had the kind of day at the World Series that furiously aggressive poker champs tend to have. He began the day second in chips with $5,905,000 and, as he approaches the final table, he has $9,605,000. That places him 4th out of the last nine; in with a shot. It didn't start well. The huge hit came within the second level, when he became embroiled in a massive pot with Allen Cunningham, out on table one. With pocket nines and looking at an all-in bet from Cunningham on a king-high board of two spades, Friberg had correctly deduced that the American did not have a king. He called, but was forced to ship it in Cunningham's direction when he flipped over pocket fives for the set. For more than an hour after, the ice-cool Swede looked shaken. Clearly card-dead, he found his natural game restricted and dribbled chips away. That was until he found A-Q to eliminate Kevin Aaronson and the major pot was the kick-start to an hour of all-out aggression. It came to an end, however, when he was moved to the feature table, beside the giant stacks of Jamie Gold and Allen Cunningham. There, the going was tougher and while he began to play back at Jamie, he was taking hits from other directions. He yo-yoed for three hours before eliminating Leif Force and sticking around to make the final - and considerably more than a million dollars. -From Pokerstars' Blog [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Seat 3 - Paul Wasicka (Westminster, CO) - $7,970,000 (8.74%) Past Results - 6 Cashes - $237,961 Day 1B Chip Count = $38,200 Day 2A Chip Count = $308,300 Day 3 Chip Count = $383,500 (39/481) Day 4 Chip Count = $552,000 (63/135) Day 5 Chip Count = $2,055,000 (16/45) Day 6 Chip Count = $700,000 (24/27) Age = 23?, Entered via 888.com satellite [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Seat 4 - Dan Nassif (St. Louis, MO) - $2,600,000 (1.95%) Past Results - None Day 1B Chip Count = $25,250 Day 2A Chip Count = $70,700 Day 3 Chip Count = $514,000 (14/481) Day 4 Chip Count = $702,000 (44/135) Day 5 Chip Count = $1,035,000 (37/45) Day 6 Chip Count = $5,430,000 (6/27) Age = 33, Entered via Pokerstars satellite Dan "danxxx1" Nassif, the 33-year-old advertising sales exec from St Louis, Missouri, had to call his bosses at the Riverfront Times last weekend and ask for a few more days' vacation. Given that he's now worth more than $1.5 million, his next call to the office will probably be to hand in his resignation. Fact is, Dan will be making a lot of calls tonight. He banned his friends and family from coming to the WSOP unless he made the final table but now, after another day's hard grinding, he has made it through. He only had one dip today, when his Kings were cracked by Michael Binger's pocket queens. He doubled up Binger and lost nearly half his stack -but spent the rest of the evening battling his way back up to finish the day with $2,600,000. -From Pokerstars' Blog [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Seat 5 - Allen Cunningham (Las Vegas, NV) - $17,770,000 (19.50%) Past Results - 121 Cashes - $4,650,578 Day 1B Chip Count = $77,625 Day 2A Chip Count = $172,900 Day 3 Chip Count = $278,000 (97/481) Day 4 Chip Count = $503,000 (70/135) Day 5 Chip Count = $1,290,000 (30/45) Day 6 Chip Count = $2,650,000 (13/27) Age = 29, Entered via direct buy-in; Affiliated with Full Tilt [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Seat 6 - Michael Binger (Atherton, CA) - $3,140,000 (3.45%) Past Results - 3 Cashes - $106,935 Day 1D Chip Count = $72,725 Day 2B Chip Count = $256,000 Day 3 Chip Count = $275,000 (102/481) Day 4 Chip Count = $1,889,000 (5/135) Day 5 Chip Count = $3,045,000 (8/45) Day 6 Chip Count = $5,725,000 (5/27) Age = , Entered via direct buy-in [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Seat 7 - Doug Kim (Hartsdale, NY) - $6,770,000 (7.43%) Past Results - None Day 1A Chip Count = $32,800 Day 2A Chip Count = $95,200 Day 3 Chip Count = $372,000 (43/481) Day 4 Chip Count = $939,000 (24/135) Day 5 Chip Count = $1,335,000 (27/45) Day 6 Chip Count = $3,595,000 (10/27) Age = 22, Entered via Pokerstars satellite Doug Kim from West Chester, New York, is a recent graduate of Duke and won his seat in the WSOP Main Event on one of the last satellites available on PokerStars. He started the day 11th in chips at $3.6M in chips, then rode a roller coaster on Day 6. He moved down as low as $2.5M and as high as $7.8M today. He had an extremely tough table draw down to two tables, with Jamie Gold and Allen Cunningham to his left. He took some hits along the way but finally took some pots from Gold, including a big pot with K-8o on a king high board. He ended at $6.77M, good for 6th chip position. -From Pokerstars' Blog [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Seat 8 - Jamie Gold (Malibu, CA) - $26,650,000 (29.24%) Past Results - 9 Cashes - $101,273 Day 1D Chip Count = $100,125 Day 2B Chip Count = $155,400 Day 3 Chip Count = $387,000 (33/481) Day 4 Chip Count = $3,700,000 (1/135) Day 5 Chip Count = $7,330,000 (1/45) Day 6 Chip Count = $13,000,000 (1/27) Age = 36, Entered via Bodog satellite [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Seat 9 - Rhett Butler (Rockville, MD) - $4,815,000 (5.28%) Past Results - None Day 1B Chip Count = $34,175 Day 2A Chip Count = $168,600 Day 3 Chip Count = $297,000 (84/481) Day 4 Chip Count = $317,000 (104/135) Day 5 Chip Count = $3,210,000 (4/45) Day 6 Chip Count = $6,400,000 (4/27) Age = , Entered via direct buy-in; has backers for 50% of his payout [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] GENERAL FINAL TABLE INFORMATION Final Table Payouts 1st Place - $12,000,000 2nd Place - $6,102,499 3rd Place - $4,123,310 4th Place - $3,628,513 5th Place - $3,216,182 6th Place - $2,803,851 7th Place - $2,391,520 8th Place - $1,979,189 9th Place - $1,566,858 Blind Structure Level 32 - SB $80,000 / BB $160,000, A $20,000 Level 33 - SB $100,000 / BB $200,000, A $30,000 Level 34 - SB $120,000 / BB $240,000, A $40,000 Level 35 - SB $150,000 / BB $300,000, A $50,000 Level 36 - SB $200,000 / BB $400,000, A $50,000 Level 37 - SB $250,000 / BB $500,000, A $50,000 Level 38 - SB $300,000 / BB $600,000, A $100,000 Level 39 - SB $400,000 / BB $800,000, A $100,000 Level 40 - SB $500,000 / BB $1,000,000, A $100,000 Level 41 - SB $600,000 / BB $1,200,000, A $200,000 Live Update Sites Card Player - Official WSOP Coverage PokerStars Blog Ultimate Bet Blog Gutshot Dr. Pauly's Tao of Poker ESPN Pay Per View Info - Online, DirecTV, and some cable providers. Wasn't there free live coverage with Daniel Negreanu and others from Card Player last year?

Re: \"Official\" WSOP ME Final Table Thread
If the delay is going to be 10 minutes on the PPV, should we have some sort of PPV thread for those who want to sweat that way rather than have the results spoiled?

Re: \"Official\" WSOP ME Final Table Thread
Someone have mercy on those of us who won't have Sirius or PPV and post updates frequently please.
I thought about ordering the PPV, but have nowhere near that amount of space open on my DVR and have to work so I can't go sit in front of the TV. |
