Is anyone going to macau APPT?
For about a year now i've dreamed of the possibility of playing poker against the massive concentration of gambling degenerates and finally the opportunity is here. Problem is macau overlaps american thanksgiving and it's a 2 connection flight over 24 hours for anyone who isn't in a major hub city.
This could easily be the most +EV 10k+ event of the year if it gets advertised to the high rollers in macau |

Re: Is anyone going to macau APPT?
100% yes i am going and was actually just about to put this post up myself.
Edit: Also i know a lot of people who work for poker news and reports so far indicate 15k will be about 5-10 good players and 20-30 degens. |

Re: Is anyone going to macau APPT?
sigh, i was hoping the 15k would get at least 80-100 people, it is very hard to get motivated for a trip this long when there are no side games and it's only a medium sized 2500 and a small 15k

Re: Is anyone going to macau APPT?
We're looking at 30-60 players for the $15K. A number of international pros have already confirmed, as have some more casual players from Japan and Korea.
FatalError, as for your flight estimates, I recommend you fly direct to Hong Kong and then take the 45-minute ferry direct from Hong Kong International Airport to Macau. That should significantly reduce your travel time. |

Is anyone flying out of or connecting in Newark?
I hate navigating foreign airports, so if anyone else is going, I wouldn't mind meeting up and taking the same flight. |
