(215) ITM Calling/Pushing with Shortstacked allin
I think this hand is a push, but I've heard interesting arguments for calling. What is the correct play and why?
PartyPoker, Big Blind is t400 (3 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com Button (t789) z32fanatic (t2152) BB (t7059) Preflop: z32fanatic is in SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Button raises to t789 (All-in), z32fanatic... |

I would push. Dead chips in the pot are good.

Re: (215) ITM Calling/Pushing with Shortstacked allin
I like calling. With a hand like Ax or 55 I'd push, but QJ can do well 3way.
BB will check down and let the best hand among us take pot. This means we have even more chips to win and if button would've beaten us we're in same spot anyway with the added chance that he busts taking 2nd to big stack. Also, a lot of the time that BB beats us 3way he would've called the push pre anyway. |
