Default 3/6 flopped FD & gut shot in raised pot

Villain is 25/10/3 over a moderate # of hands. He likely sees me as nitty. I'm on the button. We're heads up on the flop.

What do we do preflop? What do we do after he cbets considering we've flopped a gutshot & and FD?

Say the villain cks the turn, you fire on a turn blank and he calls (probably has the Ace). The river blanks, do you ck behind and give up then?

Sometimes...
It depends on the blank..is it a blank for me? or just in general. Live, I usually get a read, and I ive seen this guy folding alot here, id fire again. Since I bet the turn, there is alot of money there to bluff with...
Sometimes I do just give up if I feel he is strong.

I call here and see what the turn brings. If the turn is checked to you, you can either fire at it or check behind to take the card. Personally I would go a half pot sized bet if checked, as we still have alot of outs.

i just call here. betting or raising turn is fine, although, if villain has a high check/raising stat or a low cbet stat i would just check behind and possibly fold turn if bet is large and hand is unimproved.

I'd argue that part of the reason to raise the flop is to snag a free card on the turn (if needed).

He called your raise, so he likely (combined with PFR and viewing you as nitty) has a strong hand here. I don't think you move him off AK or better--he probably only chucks AQ.

Any bet we make commits us to the pot.

Spot on analysis. I really need a coach to help with these seemingly simple concepts.

Unfortunately for me, I went with the Grand Melon theorem and fired another ~240 at the pot. Villain said "you prob have a set" and went all in. I called. River blanked and he showed AK.
