berated in $1.75 2 table tournament
I thought I played these hands OK, but villian didn't I guess. I'm posting here for comments to check. Format is low buyin 2 table turbo tournament.
In the first hand I didn't think villian had done anything to that point to indicate limping in from the SB must be something that crushes KJ. After the LRR I felt I had pot odds to call. In the second hand it was just a low M confrontation. He'd pushed earlier numerous times, including 44 twice, and KQ as we saw above. I figured his pushing range was wide and my calling range was wide. I'd expect his pushing range in this situation to be any PP, pretty much any Ace, any two face cards, most suited connectors. I felt 66 is OK against this range. Your plays look standard, I don't think it's anything to worry about, the villian is just a small stakes [censored].

You played fine.
FWIW, the teaching at the $1.75 tables is worthless. |

Re: berated in $1.75 2 table tournament
yeah, you did nothing wrong in either of the two hands. 4 handed either of the two hands were fairly strong. The first one he showed absolutely no strength in completing and then reraising. You showed strength and he attempted to show it back. He just got lucky that his hand happened to have you dominated.
The second hand was just bad luck especially after flopping the set. I wouldn't worry too much about what was said. Sometimes the situation calls for plays that just don't work. I get reamed for a bad attempt I made a few days ago in a 4/180. Everyone folded to me in late position and I reraised 3x bb. It was called by the sb, who I had tangled with in a bunch of other pots, and who had showed a penchant for playing horrible and calling with aboslute crap. Anyways, in the end, I had 94 and pushed him all in even after not coming close on the flop, and he called (at the time I was CL of the tourney and he was a low stack) and he called with his second pair and beat me. Was just a bad situation and I should have known by his prior holdings that he would prob call with anything, but I let the situation get to me and made a bet thinking that if I put his tourney life at risk, he wouldn't call without a strong hand. Needless to say, the table kinda berated me, but hey, what did they know, I still won the tourney |

I'd just shove hand #1. Hand #2 is perfectly fine.
