hey guys, this is my first post. i have been lurking on 2p2 for some time now and decided to grind some nl25 and post some hands.
i guess the river is a no-brainer. anyway how much do you bet here (i guess i was betting way too weak) and do you call any checkraise??? PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) UTG ($24.75) MP ($25) CO ($14.25) Button ($23.50) SB ($136.30) Hero ($40.10) Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 2 folds, CO calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, SB completes, Hero raises to $1.5, CO folds, Button folds, SB calls $1.25. I might fold that river, but it would be really hard at 25nl. He either has the straight or a lower set, and I doubt he's bluffing. I'd also bet a bit more on the turn.

ewwwwwww I might have checked the river and called any reasonable bet.... tough to fold here though *sob*
Oh and I would bet Pot on the turn (considering he called the flop bet after your 6x PF raise AND an A is there) |

well i thought for some time about checking behind on that river but decided that i have to bet for value. there are tons of hands that might still call a vb.

Call river, it's extremely hard to put SB on an 8 and your weak bet induces bluffs

I find myself pretty often in similiar spots.
I like to bet this river more and fold to raise. reason is that villain won't be likely to bluff 3/4 pot bet, still call a lot of worse hands and raise only with better. Problem is that this small bet of yours could actually encourage villain to make a bluff, but even then i fold this river. some reads would be of great value here. |

Do we ever lose here?
The only thing that conceivably beats us here is 88 surely and he could easily flop two pair with the last A or have a set. So easy call right? And even if he did hav 88 he's played it like a moron. |

I wrote in a thread of mine that you couldn't induce bluffs at 50NL.
I'm going to have to rethink that. Still, value bet more on every street and you make the same without the heartache. |
