Funny(not really) live story
I was playing 2-5 nl at a local bm not too long ago. Action from utg makes it 30 utg+1 calls and I look down at KK, Utg had about 125 so I just decided to make a huge overbet to look semiweak and hopefully get the short stack to committ and threw out 4 100 chips (I was deep, 1400 or so). Short stack goes all in and I flip my kings face up, thats when I realize that utg +1 still has his cards and I was like oh, damn, my bad, well I guess your not calling unless you have aces. He gets this strange look on his face looks at the dealer, nods and says I call. Flips up aces. Nh sir, nh.

Re: Funny(not really) live story
No it is funny. Whenever I miss or forget about a third player in a hand, its bad news.
Besides, he's going to call there 100% of the time, so you were getting pwned no matter what. Just be happy he wasn't deeper. Hearing "re-raise" would not have been fun for you. |

It was so sick, I was looking right at him before he said call and I *knew* he was gonna flip up aces. He was kindof trying to act nonchalant about it, it was an ugly scene. |

Re: Funny(not really) live story
Something like that has happened to me twice in live tourney's ( i play maybe 2 or 3 a year). I raise with something like ak, guy makes me count down my chips, then says call. I always get it in my head that i'm all in when people do that to me for some reason. I flip up my cards and everyone goes "Hey!!!" he just called. Both times I've hit the flop and the other guy folds but [censored], it really sux because you feel stupid and you lose the chance to get more chips.

Re: Funny(not really) live story
Next time just ask the dealer to put out a K. It's just that easy.

Re: Funny(not really) live story
why are we flipping up our hands in a cash game? For the TV cameras?

Re: Funny(not really) live story
I didn't see the utg+2 because he was out of view, so when the utg+1 said all in I exposed my hand because action was closed(I thought)
