I am relieved that the government is not functioning. It means I have more freedoms. I think that the irony is thick that the statement is coming from who it is coming from after the record of failing to fulfill, IIRC, the "Contract with America."

I like the use of the word "dysfunctional" in the article as it's a word I think aptly describes the federal government as well as the way the Bush administration is running it. The current Congress isn't any better IMO and their record (or lack thereof) proves it.
