3/6: river c/r bluff
Villian is 17/8, with a slightly above average cold call preflop percentage. He seems to float me a bit more than he should, but I really haven't played anything big against him.
I've been playing aggro preflop at this table, something like 20/16 or so. Re: 3/6: river c/r bluff
this move is above me i think. like i usually just c/f this turn, sometimes i throw in a 2nd barrel, and i never make this c/r move cause imo it doesnt look like a king (i think i just value bet here almost always). but im interested in hearing the results of this hand

Your river play looks like a bluff.
You might get him to fold ace high, but nothing else. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think it looks enough like a king that he folds everything else, but I think he checks the river with most non-king hands. Anything like a mid pocket pair he checks behind. Maybe he bets a 6 but I don't expect him to show up with one very often and then there is a chance he calls with it. |

Re: 3/6: river c/r bluff
I don't get it. Isn't K-x a huge part of his range?
This seems like suicide to me. |

Re: 3/6: river c/r bluff
bad imo
I cant see what flats two streets and bets the river besides Kx, 6x and 45 (which is a really small part of his range imo). Pretty sure he has like Kx like always here |

Re: 3/6: river c/r bluff
a bit surprised at the comments, and fwiw i do sometimes play the boat just like this because it looks very "bluffy"
to me, his two calls look like 99-QQ. these are hands that i feel he will value bet the river against me because i'm often so aggro (i.e. double barreling, etc...) and as such I have to make some light river calls. additionally, i feel like Kx is a small part of his range. AK/KQ he probably reraises pf or flop or turn. I'd assume he's not cold calling KJ preflop too often. |

Re: 3/6: river c/r bluff
It's close but I usually just give it up. On a good day I can do this at the right time.
