We got Louisville vs WVU on right now. WVU is really picking apart the UL defense putting up 21 and we are little past half way into the 2nd quarter.
A week without many key games, too bad UL is having an off year or this game would be huge. |

I don't think WVU is that good. I've been saying so all year. Let's see if they are going to prove me wrong.

Anybody else go back and forth thinking that the big east is a top tier conference, then that it is a "mid-major" conference from week to week? Like when South Florida was #2 in the nation, they beat Auburn in Auburn and Auburn beat Florida and I thought the Big East was the best conference in college football. Now, not so much.

[/ QUOTE ] Well, if South Florida was good enough to beat Auburn on the road and they go 1-3 in Big East play, doesn't that suggest the Big East is even better? That they can beat up on a team who's that good. The only key non-conference matchup they've lost recently was UConn losing to Virginia. I think the Big East is middle-of-the road. They're not as good as the Pac-Ten or the SEC, but they're pretty equal to the Big XII and probably slightly ahead of the Big Ten. Also, if there's any conference with a BCS berth that's close to being a mid-major, it's the ACC. They don't have one team in the Top 15 by the Sagarin predictor. |

They are not good, but not what I would call bad either. As far as 1A teams go, they are likely just above average. I'm not looking at any rankings when I say that though. |

Surprised MT2R hasn't come in here and said how Cantwell should be starting over Brohm yet.

Okay, games of moderate + interest this week:
Michigan at Wisconsin 11:00 a.m. ESPN Arkansas at Tennessee 11:30 a.m. Yahoo Sports (online) Air Force at Notre Dame 1:30 p.m. NBC (HD) (Here's hoping to watch the Domers go down again!) Illinois at Ohio State 2:30 p.m. ABC (regional) Texas Tech at Texas 2:30 p.m. ABC (regional) USC at California 7:00 p.m. ABC (regional) Kansas at Oklahoma State 7:00 p.m. ABC (regional) Yeah looks like a bit of a slow week. Hope I didn't miss any obvious ones, but someone will (and should) point out if I did. |
