Re: Flop trips after reraising pf with AK.
Villain has 8K left and the pot is 6K, so if I bet, I would bet ~2K or less. That might give him the idea that he has FE and he might shove.
Anyhow, I'd probably check here and lead the turn for 2K (or maybe 1.9K). |

Re: Flop trips after reraising pf with AK.
i don't like checking the flop and leading the turn - it looks way too much like exactly what it is
i think if you check the flop you should be checking the turn too - kinda like firing too barrels |

Re: Flop trips after reraising pf with AK.
I bet the flop trying to look weak...2k seems like it's too much of an invite for villain to stay in the hand...I don't know what an average player is like these 10r so it's difficult for me to speculate
checking might work too and meekly betting turn...might be just as inviting for a shove |

Re: Flop trips after reraising pf with AK.
As aplunk says, there's probably not much that's paying us off but I think the way ahead is to consider how we play our whole reraising range here, with these stacks. Or at least, how we'd be expected to play it.
So, how do you play AA? How do most people play KK/AK? How do we play AQ, TT-QQ or air? |

I would make a continuation sized looking bet and hope something good happens (KJ or KQ). Some hands you just aren't gonna make money on.

He if he calls that much of his stack pf he will probably stack of with many pairs on flops like this. otherwise if we had a smaller stack the slight overbet push is also funny. |

Because I am always checking AA on this flop. |

Re: Flop trips after reraising pf with AK.
shame you re-reaised pre-flop - it's gonna be hard to look weak at this point.
i think u gotta hope he's got precisely KQ. A check is gonna look like a monster, so mebbe with no knowledge of villain it may be worth open pushing and hope 99 calls |

Value bet 1/3 - 2/3 pot, depending on what you think he will call.
