Idea for a thread
Would it be beneficial if we had an official networking.contacts/recruitment thread, where people from the recuiting side could put out calls to accept resumes and such or just give advice on the job recruitment process? Or would that never work and it just turn into a thread with 100 ppl looking for a job and noone recuiting?

I could forward him resumes etc if people would like. |

Re: Idea for a thread
I own a search firm in the Chicago area that specializes in electrical/mechanical engineering and other technical positions in manufacturing environments. I doubt anything will come of this thread but, I will answer any questions or give advice to anyone looking for a job or looking for people.

Re: Idea for a thread
Awesome idea, would love it if it could work... but I think you'll get loads of people looking for entry level jobs, with few recruiters.
Maybe a lot of spam/get rich quick type posts too? Also, aren't people further up the career ladder more likely to be head hunted/have some connections to get them (at least) in the door of where they want to go? |
