Default White Water Rafting

I'm going white water rafting and camping for the first time ever this June. What kind of things should I bring and buy for this trip. Thanks.

If you're getting drunk before whitewater rafting you are either going to some pussy river or you are a complete idiot. This is an activity that does not need the enhancement of alcohol if done right.

OP, you shouldn't need to bring anything other than a bathing suit and maybe some sunscreen. The company should give you everything else.

Seriously alcohol is the last thing you need on whitewater rafting trip. But I wasn't sure if he was referring to beer for the rafting or beer for the camping. You obviously need beer for camping.

God I hope I can raft the Zambezi River at some point in my life

The Gauley River in West Virginia in late September is scarier.
The White Salmon River in Washington State in Spring runoff, (now) is fecking scary.

The White Nile in Uganda makes The Zambezi look like a puddle.

The 10 day Choruh River expedition trip in Turkey is the most dangerous and exhilarating whitewater I've ever seen.

The Zambezi is seriously over-rated. It's a nice few hours though.

A bathing suit might be useful. Make sure to avoid waterfalls.
