Re: 16$ : AQo early
I limp pre, o/w flop is fine, you're ahead of a bunch of draws and weaker Qs

Re: 16$ : AQo early
Nice hand, sir!
Without reads I would play it exactly the same (maybe bet a little more on the flop). |

Agree with niggel that the flop needs to be bet harder

Re: 16$ : AQo early
Rodolphe, I think you might find it a bit easier if you just folded AQ early. I'm not giving that as general advice (don't want AMT getting the nit spray out for me), but I think you have shown that you are struggling with it postflop. Failing that, just limp and look to get away from it if you're not confident you're ahead.

Well it is a good consideration; if you dont know how to play it postflop, better to fold it preflop. as for the hand, limping or raising are both fine pf IMO. As played I'm just not gonna fold on this board at a 16 without some reads, this board is ridiculously drawy and he takes this line vs the PFR with worse queens for value also as ive seen previously at this level...go with it and make a note. edit: i agree you can bet more on the flop, and itll also make it easier to stack off happily (or unhappily, did he river you? Re: 16$ : AQo early
Yes He rivers me (he had Kd 6d).
I'm not a good player but is it a good idea to play this hand (AQ) and post if I'm not confident the way I played it ? If I never play it, I will never know how to play it no ? |

Re: 16$ : AQo early
Everything you did was fine. One limper and some guys are saying fold AQ - unreal. The only consideration to be made for you was whether to fold after his all-in bet. I have him on AK, AQ, trips or a flush draw. The only hand you had truely dominated at that stage was AK. So that was your dilema - but calling was OK. One of those things I'm afraid.
Sorry missed out KQ. Just makes ur call even better |
