99 - LOL i wanna call this huge overbet turn shove with the 37th nuts
villain just sat down at this table, but ive played with him recently and he was Laggy and real aggro postflop - like 30/18/4ish. he does seem to understand the fundamentals(proper raising ranges, position, etc) but hes def not the typical 2p2 type player
he wins lots of pots w/o showdown and generally bets when checked to. ive never seen him over bet. Poker Stars, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players LeggoPoker Hand History Converter BTN: $98.50 SB: $532.35 Hero (BB): $180.45 UTG: $249.70 MP: $96.45 CO: $196.90 Pre-Flop: 9 9 dealt to Hero (BB) UTG folds, MP raises to $3, 3 folds, Hero calls $2 Flop: ($6.50) 5 5 2 (2 Players) Hero checks, MP bets $5, Hero raises to $18, MP calls $13 villain knows i very rarely (never) have a 5 here so my ch/r should look pretty bluffy, and i think hes capable of shoving any pair 33+, plus lots of bluffs with whatever other crap he raises PF. Turn: ($42.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, MP bets $75.45 and is All-In, Hero now hates his line whoa wasnt expecting that. i was gonna ch/rai on non A turns but wtf? |

Re: 99 - LOL i wanna call this huge overbet turn shove with the 37th nuts
lol i wd want to call too. but DONT!
ur only really beating air here or a flush draw, i just dont think ur good enough of the time to make it profitable. plus as u say, uve never seen him overbet - and whenever i call an overbet, they always seem to have it. |

Re: 99 - LOL i wanna call this huge overbet turn shove with the 37th nuts
if he wants me to call, why would he shove 2x pot?

Re: 99 - LOL i wanna call this huge overbet turn shove with the 37th nuts
its a good question, and i dont know.
but after ur flop line, u appear to have a stong hand. Or a flush draw. he might put u on clubs, and with stack sizes, he wants to get max value from ur draw. if he bet 30 or so, that leaves an awkward river bet, so he might figure to just stick it in. he seems pretty donky with those stats. |

Re: 99 - LOL i wanna call this huge overbet turn shove with the 37th nuts
thats the thing... i really dont think he puts me on a strong hand. why would i check the turn after ch/r the flop with any hand that i wanted to get all in?
and why would villain just flat my ch/r on the flop with anything legit? |

Re: 99 - LOL i wanna call this huge overbet turn shove with the 37th nuts
the c/r flop and check turn 'looks' like a club draw trying to get a free river i guess.
meh - its closer than i first thought given the strange line, id be interested in other peoples views. |

Re: 99 - LOL i wanna call this huge overbet turn shove with the 37th n
while i seem to see villains turn over TcXc here somewhat often, i am still very inclined to call, because i think he is doing this with a lot of pairs that you are ahead of.
