Default Portable Ice Maker

I just wanted to share with everyone this magnificent purchase I recently made. I present to you Mr. Freeze:

Mr. Freeze

I bought this bad boy for my office and it's cranking out ice as I write this. The mechanical process it goes through while it's making the ice is also something to behold, so not only do you have lots of fresh ice you have some moving sculpture around. I've walked into the office kitchen a couple of times to find someone just standing there staring at Mr. Freeze work his icy magic. All for only $200!

Only drawback: it doesn't store a ton of ice, so if you need to have a lot on hand you need to transfer it to another container and put it in a freezer. But other than that this thing is so choice.

Does it make ice quietly?

I could really do with one of these things, but keep different hours to everyone else in my house. It looks like the sort of machine that would make the walls shake...

First thing I thought of too. Ice makers can be really noisy.

Also, how long does the ice take to make, and how noisy is it just to keep it cool? I also wonder at the power needed.

I have one in my office and back up everything said. It is a little loud, but quick and pumps out the ice. I like my drinks with ice, so it was something I had to have in the office. I can also bring it home for parties, which is nice.
