NL25 TT overpair, turn paires board, half-stack called flop c-bet
Ok, I am new to the table, the table plays rather loose and I donīt know the villain.

I bet/fold for 7 here. If he calls, I probably check behind river if he checks.

Check. Snap-call a bet on river. VB if checked to you.

Re: NL25 TT overpair, turn paires board, half-stack called flop c-bet
Why would Villain check-call overs with a player to act behind him? If he does, it's prob to c/r turn, which is REALLY bad if we're bet/folding. Plus, he's already paid too much to hit a 6 outer. lol paranoiaments.

Re: NL25 TT overpair, turn paires board, half-stack called flop c-bet
NOTE: Obviously nobody looked at the stack sizes. The ensuing discussion relates to when BB has a full stack.
The only reasonable straight draw is 78, which has 4 outs. 1) Do you think he always just check/shows-down river with 8 high? 2) 78 has a bunch of reverse implied odds against our hand. We lose ~7 when his four-out 5 hits. He felts to us when a two-out T hits. It's +EV to let him draw. Seriously, I'm not trying to disrespect you, but you guys really need to get over draw paranoia (which I had big time when I was first starting). Stop trying to think of how to price out draws and start thinking about how to maximize value for your hand. If you had Ace high instead of TT, shouldn't you bet/fold this turn to price-out draws and overs? |

I agree with Rapid, I would bet/fold, don't want to let him draw for free with a pair, overcards or a straight draw.
