PokerStars 3/6 Hold'em (5 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is Button with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG raises, 1 fold, Hero? do we like raising to isolate since our hand wont improve often or just smooth calling and letting in the blinds, i dont like 4 way cuz its much tougher to win it with 66 here, thoughts? |

Re: hand street by street
I would def raise this, assuming you get it hu which should happen your hand becomes much easier to play having postion. If you just call you are basically playing for set value and there is no gaurantee that the sb will come along aswell reducing your odds.

my steadily growing gut says raise > fold > call and fold > raise > call if he were 3 off he button vs. 2 off the button.

SB could be a fish but could be a strong player smooth calling here PF with a middle PP. I think calling here is best but thoughts? |

Re: hand street by street
if stats were known and the SB was super aggro and UTG was a loose station 3 betting is maybe okay here, otherwise i think it is a spew but i think i see so many guys here reraising me on dry boards these days trying to steal.

Re: hand street by street
fold
we know nothing about anyone at the table. 3betting 66 vs an OTB+2 open raise is pushing a thin edge at best, and with no knowledge of villains tendencies we are more likely to make mistakes postflop. also 3betting here loses its effectiveness when the blinds are loose. it would be nice to know something about them. 66 does not have an equity edge on most players OTB+2 raising range, picking up dead money is a big part of what can make 3betting preflop profitable. |

Re: hand street by street
on the turn i really dont put a 3 in his range, if he has a middle PP we are nearly drawing dead with little implied odds, stats would help a ton to see if villain made these steal plays alot
