NL25 late blind --> two pair --> villain wants to play --> ugly river
Ok, here is another two pair hand that met some resistance.
How´s my line? <u>reads:</u> villain is unknown <u>questions:</u> 1. Turn bet size acceptable? 2. River fold acceptable? PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) UTG+1 ($52.20) MP1 ($14.40) MP2 ($28.95) MP3 ($25.60) Hero ($28.40) Button ($24.65) SB ($11.50) BB ($21.45) UTG ($24.50) Preflop: Hero is CO with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.25. <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Hero (poster) checks, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB completes, BB checks. Re: NL25 late blind --> two pair --> villain wants to play --> ugly river
Shove the turn. Villain is short make him commit his stack on the turn. On the river I think your beat a lot of the time. Don't know how you don't call though getting 5to1.

Re: NL25 late blind --> two pair --> villain wants to play --> ugly river
I think against an unknown with that turn card I would be inclined to bet more and put him to a descision for his stack there and then. Not knowing where you are with him leaves a lot of rivers that will hurt you and put you in a situation like this.
Knowing me I would probably call and shout at myself after for losing to a J. |
