$5/27 p10s in the BB, WWYD?
This is the first level, so no reads, but this the first time villain has pulled this.
Is this a “err I’m on the e-poker so bet my monsters hard” or more like a “oh please fold you e-donkeys” ??? How would you play it? PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (8 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) MP2 (t1500) CO (t1600) Button (t2980) SB (t1600) Hero (t1500) UTG (t1500) UTG+1 (t1360) MP1 (t1460) Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls t20, UTG+1 calls t20, MP1 calls t20, 1 fold, CO raises to t160, 2 folds, Hero?? |

Re: $5/27 p10s in the BB, WWYD?
In the first level, I'm looking to look at some cheap flops or get a ton of money in with a great hand.
I would tend to fold to an 8BB raise without more callers, which would give me good set value. This situation is marginal IMO. If you reraise to 450 and he shoves, you have to fold. If he just calls your raise, he may have AJ+,77+ (maybe wider). Almost any flop is going to put you in a difficult spot. If he raised to 3-5BB, easy call. |

dude... this is 10/20 its pretty standard to raise about 8BB
villian could have KJo here you can do 2 things call and hope no overs hit the board or shove and hope he the overs dont hit the board |

Re: $5/27 p10s in the BB, WWYD?
[x] 130-140 would be a standard sized raise there, so 160 is not that unusual/weird
[x] Raising intending to fold to a shove is bad. Raising intending to call a shove is bad. Shoving is bad. The question is whether you can profitably flat call this. I think you can. If other limpers come along you can play this for set value. If they don't then you can play TT as a decent hand, won't be easy to play but should still be +EV overall. |

Re: $5/27 p10s in the BB, WWYD?
Both those options sound bad with pushing being the worst of the two.
It's not mentioned so I assume we don't have a read that villain is a moron. That's the only way KJ is showing up here and that's not calling the all in. If it's an average player, a small part of his range is folding because it's worse than TT and a large part is calling because it's better than TT. Calling just puts you in an awkward spot OOP and it gets more awkward if a limper decides to come along. Looks like a fold. |

Thanks for the input gang!
I hate these spots where every option seems bad. |
