77 OTB, short stack UTG limper
This is another hand from the PFX HHs by a 2+2 pro. $300 on Stars.
Blinds 150/300/15. Donk UTG with 2500 limps. You have 7200 on the button. Both blinds have you covered. What is your play? |

Re: 77 OTB, short stack UTG limper
I'd say put in about 3bb raise and try to get isolated against the UTG. his limp probably puts him on some sc or low pp so i think you have good odds against him and you'll probably force him all in with his short stack.

Re: 77 OTB, short stack UTG limper
raise to 1200 to isolate and fold to reraise from one of the blinds. Seems pretty standard.

Re: 77 OTB, short stack UTG limper
Mostly depends on what kind of donk, but my default would be to fold.

Re: 77 OTB, short stack UTG limper
Fold, really? I probably 4bb it, but shoving doesn't seem too bad as long as the blinds are reasonably tight.

Re: 77 OTB, short stack UTG limper
Hero actually pushed and got called by one of the blinds with AJo.
The push seemed a little reckless to me as the short stack could be trapping plus the blinds could have big hands. I would probably limp behind or fold. |

Re: 77 OTB, short stack UTG limper
Pushing does seem pretty bad. If I just sat down at this table I would fold. But if UTG previously showed any sign that he's bad enough to limp-fold for 1/8th of his stack, then I'd be comfortable raising to 1k or so.
