I'm calling this - we have a position and it's likely that UTG will join the action making the pot multiway.

Re: ($27) How Much Am I Willing To Pay to Limp With 1010?
I think 120 is a reasonable call here with TT, if you can fold to a high card on the flop (or get to showdown real cheap). The only thing that inclines me to folding is that UTG is still in, and you could wind up in a squeeze here if he's got any kind of hand. I'd say, given that, calling is marginal here, in the early stages of a tournament with a very healthy stack.

I call this. Note that more often than not, UTG will come along, giving you correct set odds (+ you have some overpairvaule and position)

Re: ($27) How Much Am I Willing To Pay to Limp With 1010?
I guess this can be well generalized:
If you think Villain is raising with TT+, AK, AQ as most of the regs do in level 2 you should consider calling with an underpair if you have have set value odds. You hit 1:7.5 so that goes pretty easily: 120*7.5=900. In this respect you can make the call with any PP. In this particular case you also have position and you can spot a c-bet. |
