Re: 100NL big raise on paired flop
If you are going to call the flop raise (which given reads may or may not be correct) you really need to raise this turn to around $80ish. Obviously we want to check the river when we get there in this manner.

Re: 100NL big raise on paired flop
no specific read besides my impression that people will not raise trips this hard on the flop

Re: 100NL big raise on paired flop
I like how you played it, i think his range almost always medium, small PP. And if he showed up with some random A
here then more power to him cuase his flop line sure doesnt look like one anyway. TT, 66 is the only hands that beats u here. JJ+, AK AQ repops pre with those stats and the fact that he´s OOP. |

Obviously we want to check the river when we get there in this manner. [/ QUOTE ] Can you explain the reason behind raising turn here? If the heart comes and he's not already full you have a very disguised strong hand vs another very strong hand that he is sure to stack off with. You may have the best hand with a 9 as well. What purpose does raising turn have? He never folds an Ace but folds any 9 and any underpair. This seems like a spot to Fold or Call turn. I play this hand exactly the same as villain (Except I probably fold flop without a read). But if I did call flop I would continue on exactly the same line. |
