I'm writing a paper on all casinos dropping the gambling age to 18. Does vegas want this?

The casinos want anyone and everyone to gamble, however, they'd have to stop serving alcohol to allow the 18 year olds in.

People play longer when they are drinking and a typical 18 year old has less disposable income.

I don't think they stop serving alcohol just because it 18+ rather than 21+. I would call casinos like morongo in cali and ask whether they serve alcohol in the poker room. I do agree that 18 yo players have less disposable income.

Isn't this kind of similar to the strip club rule? 18+ Full nude no alcohol, 21+ alcohol but not full nude.

(Wasn't me drinking, so I don't recall) |

Florida card rooms are all 18+ and charge for drinks. They pretty much ID anyone under 30 who isn't a regular.

If nothing else changed they obviously want 18 year olds, but if that came stipulated with no alcohol there is no way in hell it would ever fly.
I don't think there is much of a paper here... |
