Re: 1/2 renton posts a hand
I assume villain has you covered, since you didn't post stack sizes?
I don't like it. You get shown KJ or something too often IMO. |

I like it. FE + FD outs = +EV.
He doesn't have to fold that much at all to make it profitable, right? One of you nerds do the maths for us |

And you have to discount your flush outs as K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]x[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or a set are real possibilities too. I fold here. But I suck, so whatevs. |

Re: 1/2 renton posts a hand
Because villain is very tight you put them on a range heavily weighted toward sets, 2 pair, better flopped straights because their hand was strong enough to bet the turn, so your straight is probably good?

Re: 1/2 renton posts a hand
The reason I think this is bad is because most of the time, villain will check behind on the turn with two pairs, sets, or A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]x [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], not wanting to get blown off the hand.
So, when villain bets like this, I'd say his range is heavily weighted towards K-x. |

Re: 1/2 renton posts a hand
What do you think about leading turn and shoving river?? Not that you wouldn't take the line you did with a K, but I think to most people it seems like you wouldn't want to put so much pressure on with the nuts, especially when there are so many 2pair/sets that will give you significant action. If he raises your turn bet I think its pretty obvious he has the straight. Also, if he is the type to call with less than str8 then I think it will be easier to get away from on a blank river, when he can't tell himself he has outs to fill up. I have stopped playing for a couple hours b/c I am unbelievably tilted, so you know, there's that. I'd like to know your thoughts though |

Re: 1/2 renton posts a hand
getting people at 1/2 NL FR to fold sets or top 2 can't possibly be +EV, especially when they have a street to boat up.
I think this would work very well if there was more money involved. |
