FT 535.00 Hand
5K starting stacks. There's like 600 left or something of 2100 that started. 306 cash. Avg stack 20K or so. Just got moved to this table about one orbit ago.
300/600 w/ante Folds to me (19K) on the button with 77 and I raise to 1750, SB (50K) calls, BB folds. FLOP: J 4 4, he checks, I bet 2450, he minraises to 4900, and I shove. |

Re: FT 535.00 Hand
just call the minraise. what are you bluffing for? youre going to get called when beat and he'll fold when youre ahead.

[/ QUOTE ] eh but there's enough money in the pot that it doesn't matter if we are only called when beat (not necessarily true anyways) as long as he folds often enough. I think shoving is okay. gotta put those damn check/minraisers in their place |

Re: FT 535.00 Hand
if you want to go with the hand thats fine but if you at least flat it and let him bet the turn youll get those chips when youre ahead, or he may just give up.

Re: FT 535.00 Hand
well I read more than I post and I read a lot of discussion of strategy by BOND18 and (I think Bakes) where they 3 bet a minraiser.

Re: FT 535.00 Hand
meh i usually cry and fold the first time this happens, especially since your opponent is out of position. You could also check the flop and call twice but that move is kinda high variance.

Re: FT 535.00 Hand
I'd check behind on flop...while crying about the bet I'll have to call on the turn and/or river.
