When I turn on my laptop (new HP VIsta Home Premium) it powers on then off like 4 times before it finally turns on and begins booting. It's like it is struggling to start up and takes forever. Checked to see if my ram was seated properly and they were. Any ideas what the problem might be. I'm hoping it's not a faulty hard drive or something. I already had to send in the DVDRom because it stopped working also.

Does it get to past the bios screen and start loading Vista?
Sounds like a return to me. |

Not until after turning on and off 3 or 4 times then it finally gets past everything and loads up.

If it was me it'd go straight back to HP. Hardware fault almost certainly.
