*** OFFICIAL 2007 DETROIT LIONS PLAYOFF THREAD ***
How about it Lions fans? We're already 20% of the way to Kitna's 10-win projection!
Two tough road games & Bears at home between now and the bye week, but I'm penciling the Bears game in as a win. Ladies, is Calvin Johnson a STUD or what??? If Washington suffers another injury or two between now and week 5, I think Lions can even win at FedEx Field. That should make us 3-2 or even 4-1 at the bye week. I think Thanksgiving game vs. Packers determines winner of NFC North. Bring the love Lions fans, let's restore the ROAR!!! |

Re: *** OFFICIAL 2007 DETROIT LIONS PLAYOFF THREAD ***
If Kitna stays healthy, I honestly think we are going to make the playoffs. Our offense just looks unstoppable when he's running it. Then again if he gets hurt and JT O'Sullivan is our QB and our offense looks like it did in the 2nd and 3rd quarters today, we'll be dead last in our division and will be in prime position to take the best WR in next years draft.

Re: *** OFFICIAL 2007 DETROIT LIONS PLAYOFF THREAD ***
ok is it bad that I had to google who the hell JT O'Sullivan was?
also NCAA FB has played 3 games, NFL has played 2 any UM-haters aside, who really thought the Lions would have more wins than Michigan at this point? who really thought the Lions would have more wins than Michigan at any point in the season? They might go wire to wire now... |

Unfortunately, run defense alone doesn't win many games. It's still early and I look for Detroit to improve. This team had the same point differential as 49ers last year, yet Det's record was far worse. I think that's the difference between starting off 2-0 compared to 0-2 for a change... |

Re: *** OFFICIAL 2007 DETROIT LIONS PLAYOFF THREAD ***
Calvin Johnson is a beast though. Just thinking how sick this team will be when he gets a year or two under him. With Roy Williams already one of best in NFL, very scary. Megatron (good nickname btw thx Roy) fade this week looked soooo easy. Jump ball every time there, no corner is stopping this esp. as his technique improves. Reeeeeeaaaallly hope Lions get a QB after Kitna runs out of gas--I'd say he has two years left, offense is very unfriendly to QB as far as protection is concerned. Didn't like Stanton pick from Mich State. We'll see. Martz better be in for long term!

Re: *** OFFICIAL 2007 DETROIT LIONS PLAYOFF THREAD ***
I'm actually more concerned about the Packers than the bears. But the Lions do get them at home before playing them on the road.
