No real reads except they both seem pretty tight PF and not making any dumb looking plays.

The call bluff is an interesting play here. Given no reads, that small turn bet can mean anything. He didn't bluff and he probably doesn't have the 89, so what range would he min bet the turn with after calling a raise preflop?
If you think he's the type of player to min bet medium pair and similar hands on the turn, then I might have bluffed at it too. |

even against tight players, i really prefer a fold preflop with J9o.
i like flop. if you want to bluff, i do it on the turn (semi bluff). it is a bit risky because sb is also in the hand, but the chance of sb having anything and then going check/check seem slim. plus if called you have 8 clean outs. when you bet the river like that it really looks like a bluff. i'd actually be more scared if i was the bb and you bet 800. |

In general I think its bad to call big bets with a higher frequency than smaller bets. Regarding PF, I should have folded. I've been experimenting with being more aggressive with position and 12-18bb stacks in the middle stages. But what's the difference between J9o and 22 here? What about ATo (except for the card elimination factor)? edit: Results: he folded. |

You have a horrible stack size for opening with air.

This play is totally against my idea of playing a STT.

this is a bad stack and spot for this PF raise. push with 1700 and raise with 3000 if you really want to but fold here.
