Why would they need to pay people to play there? They're the biggest sites in the US. I'd be willing to bet that neither do, but anything's possible I guess.

I suppose you could call some of FTP's pros "props", but not in the traditional sense. They're not being used to start/keep games going, but rather as a marketing tool to get/keep people playing since people like to play against a "pro". Even if it is Lynette Chan.
But true props? No way. Do you know what props do? They start games when there aren't enough players, and they help to keep games going when they are getting shorthanded. Ever notice where you get propping offers from - usually sites you've never heard of that can't manage to keep 2 tables of 1/2NL running. FTP and PS are running hundreds of tables 24 hours a day. They don't need props. |
