Getting a six pack
So this guy I work with has just gotten back into to the gym, but I think hes turned delusional. He says that hes going to have a six pack in 5 more weeks. He's been going now for 4 weeks and has already lost 18 pounds (so he says). He started at around 250 and his goal is to get to 210.
When he said he was going to have a six pack in 5 weeks I was like man that is like almost impossible here. After I said it he got quite belligerent and defensive saying I know nothing. So the question is am I really off base here, is it possible to get a six pack in 9 weeks when starting out more that 40 lbs overweight? |

Re: Getting a six pack
Maybe a small six pack in that frame of time, but probably nothing like you'd see on tv?

Re: Getting a six pack
There is no chance in hell that this guy will have visible abs at 210 lbs. unless he is 6-foot-10. It all comes down to bodyfat levels -- your abs won't be visible in the least if you're above 12%. FWIW, I'm 6-feet and I don't start to see good ab definition until I'm below 10% bf...and when I'm that low, I don't typically weigh more than 185 lbs. No way in hell this guy has abs at 210 lbs. esp not since he's "just getting back into the gym" as u say.
