50NL - 88 facing all in preflop
No read on bb. Button is a bad player, who could have anything here.
No way am I folding here. Question is, do I raise pre? If I do not raise, and BB pushes, I will have to fold, that would suck. However if I do raise, and bb has a premium hand and calls, that would suck even more. On the flop, I could bet, hoping to get out the bb if he has ak/aq and perhaps TT and 99. I would have to fold if he raises though, and I think he is not very likely to bluff if he has a hand that missed. So I think check/fold is best. Am I right? I think I have 2 questions: 1. How should this be played preflop? 2. How should this be played postflop? I'd rather push than call preflop.

Re: 50NL - 88 facing all in preflop
As played your post flop play is really weak. I think this is a great flop to cbet because it is very unlikely to have hit BB's hand.
I fold here preflop though. If he IS that bad then surely you want to get the money in as a big favorite, not with a coin toss, which is most likely what your looking at here. |

Easy fold preflop. At the best you have a coinflip. You have no implied odds on button. Wait for a better spot.

This hand is screwy. There's 3 players involved on the flop, but only action for 2 players shown.
If button really opened that huge, whatowhatowhat are you doing calling PF with 88? Horrible. |
