if youre folding this flop then the call preflop is major spew [/ QUOTE ] I defiantly agree with this. If you're going to fold when you hit a pair, then you should probably just fold PF. Making a potentially small mistake by folding PF is still better than making a likely much larger mistake on the flop by folding to his continuation bet. |

Re: 25NL AK...hows my line here?
Folding there seems to be -ev to me. We flopped TPTK on a pretty draw heavy board and, with position, immediatley letting this go is a poor decision. If your read is that he's tight and doesnt RR, then we have to be careful. call the flop in the hope that it gets to showdown. His line seems pretty standard: rr the button's steal and cbet the flop. If we call i think he shuts down. If he checks, bet. If he bets, fold. i think you're right to play it cautiosly but man-up and play a pot to see if TPTK is good here.

If he checks, bet. [/ QUOTE ] I would probably check behind for pot control (I think this is WA/WB), and inducing a river bet from worst hands. |

dude at least call it, you know that hes betting his whole range here right? [/ QUOTE ] OP, Make sure you realize why this is important. What this means is that villain's range after the flop bet is the same as it was preflop. On this board, you are in much better shape against his range now than you were preflop. So if you think you're too far behind his range to call now, then you were much too far behind his range to call preflop. |
