400 NL \"we\'re about to see some fireworks vince\"
Opponent is an 18/14 weird nit. Plays very straightforward pf but checks a lot of flops as 3better oop and have seen him bluff in some weird spots. Overall though not much history and we haven't shown anything goofy down against each other.

Probably a good idea to get money into the pot.

What kind of hand range are you putting this "nit" on? If he had AA or KK does he get the money in PF? If so, then he probably has AK, JJ, or TT after he calls that flop. So he either needs a 1 outter to beat you or you need to fill up to beat him. I'd check the turn and reevaluate on the river attempting pot control. If you bet the turn and get raised, wtf do you do?

Re: 400 NL \"we\'re about to see some fireworks vince\"
Bet that shizzle. I find it difficult to believe someone would reraise oop w/ 99 or 910 and there really isn't any other way he can show up with a 9 unless he is a maniac. Definitely bet/call.
Edit: The more I think about it, the more this is a gross spot. If your read of "checks a lot of flops as 3better oop" is correct then he can show up w/ AK a decent % of the time here. I think I go broke here almost 100% of the time and just salute the guy for 3-betting 910s oop and hitting or stacking 1010/JJ otherwise. |
