5/10 wpx screw off I have a pair
6 handed game, I open raise in the HJ with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], CO calls, button calls, big blind calls.
CO and button I have never seen before. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I bet, CO calls, button calls, BB folds. Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I check, CO bets, button folds, I call. River 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I check, CO bets, I call. |

Re: 5/10 wpx screw off I have a pair
I'd bet the turn too. no reason to think we're not still ahead and we don't want to risk giving a free cards now that the pot is getting big

Re: 5/10 wpx screw off I have a pair
Freecard schmeecard, someone is going to bet when we check here and sure the J river is puke but the Q is probably pretty nice because we can bet/call when CO holds A Q and make button think about his weak K or vice versa. The river A is usually fold city.
A freecard doesn't seem nearly as disasterous as b/f or b/c and call river . . . |

I think preflop is a fold and that postflop is fine.

[ QUOTE ]
why do you prefere c/c tna bet/fold on the turn? [/ QUOTE ] Because people don't always have what they represent. However many people will double-barrel when check to with all kinds of hands here (basically all pairs and str8 draws). Say you had 88 and goofball raised pf, c-bet the flop and then "gave up" and checked the turn. Wouldn't you fire two barrels expecting to have the best hand most of the time? |
