Travel Ideas for Panama
So I leave for Panama City Sat. morning. It turns out I'll have two days to kill before I meet up with two other volunteers and we start working down there.
I'll be there for 3 weeks working on water distribution on the West side of the country. I may have some time at the end to travel as well. Any suggestions from people who have been there? |

Re: Travel Ideas for Panama
I went to Bocas del Toro on the northeastern side near quepos, a lot of pristine beaches, especially rana rojo beach. I think this might be to far away from panama city though.

[/ QUOTE ] Care to elaborate? How was your accomodation? How was the food? Is their nightlife? How much would you spend for a week there (room+food+boozing). What kind of folks did you meet if any? Is it 100% tourists or a mix of tourists and locals when you go out to eat and drink? Thinking of going there this fall too. KJS |

Venneto is a casino in Panama City. Has a huge wild PLO and NL game going on. The casino is good also. Treats poker players like the #1 customers free buffet ect.

Isla Grande and Isla Taboga (sp?) were two places I was told to check out. I meant to keep up on this thread and check out more today but I got busy. Maybe I'll get a chance to look into some more stuff tomorrow.

You might want to try shooting a PM to Daliman, I know he lived down there for a few years growing up.

I recommend Isla Grande . Its on the Carribean side, so it requires a drive across Panama but its well worth the couple hours in a car.
