Tommy's mom is played by Martin Scorsese's mom. And in her scene, the painting with the two dogs in the rowboat ("One dog goes one way, the other dog goes the other way, and this guy's sayin', 'Whadda ya want from me?'") was painted by the mother of Nicholas Pileggi, who wrote the book the movie was based on. |

Here's one that is pretty well known, but is worth mentioning:
The scene In Raiders of the Lost Ark where Indy just shrugs and shoots the huge Arab swordsman was originally supposed to be a long, drawn out fight scene. But Harrison Ford got really sick during the filming and suggested that Indy just shoot the guy. |
