Default Fold this river?

Party 1/2 Full ring. There's an MP poster who was coming back to his seat, so his blind plus $1 of dead money in the pot already.

I get TT UTG+1. I raise to 8. Player to my immediate left calls. All others fold. Caller has $200 (new to table, never played with him before), and I cover him (~$325 fwiw).

Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Pot: $22

I bet $20. He calls.

Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Pot: $62

I bet $40. He calls.

River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Pot: $142

I check. He pushes his last $132. I think for a while, and just as I've made up my mind to call, my clock runs out and I fold. Did the clock just save me $132 or cost me $270?

How bout getting a read on the guy. This call could go either way against an unknown.

For the record: I'm not considering folding because I think the 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] made his hand. I'm folding because I think I was beat the whole time.

He was very new to the table. This might have been literally like the 4th or 5th hand since he sat down. Looking at the stats I have for him now (as we continued to sit at the same table for a while), I've got him at 10/6.75/3. It's only over 74 hands, but it leads me to believe I made the right move. But I didn't know any of that at the time...

good fold/time out.

Against tighit as he turned out to be, he's calling your raise with QQ/JJ because he doesnt re-raise those. He's sometimes calling with KK/AA because he's "tricky." He can also have the 99, 88 or 33, maybe Ad3d.

Bottom line, I dont see what a party 1/2 weakie is in there with to river, that hell bluff his stack with, that you're ahead of. If he's a maniac fish in this game, sure c/c and get shown AQo or whatever. But barring a read, fold.
