Hey, you weren\'t invited! (100NL 6max)
I sat down an orbit or two ago at this table, and no good reads yet. UTG seems a bit loose preflop, that's it.
Comments on earlier streets as well as river suggestions are appreciated -- preflop and flop are not clear-cut obviously. Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $60.95 UTG+1: $20.12 CO: $120.22 Hero: $145.65 SB: $119.52 BB: $127.61 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG raises to $7, 2 folds, Hero calls, SB calls, BB folds. You are soooo dead on that turn.
I dont care what people say about pot odds, just fold already. Oh, and reraise preflop. At least most of the time. It is sometimes ok to just call on the button, but standard is raise. |

Re-raise this moran pre-flop.
Makes your decisions later in the hand easier. |

Reraise preflop, looks like a river fold - Your getting 4:1 though but that turn card hurt you bad.
P.s. I hate you AA limpers. |

Re: Hey, you weren\'t invited! (100NL 6max)
Reraise that shortish dude PF enough so that you can get it in on the flop.
As played, meh, he is FOC here sometimes, but probably not enough... |

Re: Hey, you weren\'t invited! (100NL 6max)
So I made preflop and flop decisions here that are definitely questionable, but I did have reasons for them.
Was kind of expecting all the reraise preflop comments. But: dude is somewhat short and has just raised to 7BB preflop. If I just flat call here, I don't think I'll have much trouble stacking him. If I reraise -- well, if he calls we're getting the stacks in, but I often see these big preflop raises with weird hands and stuff like 99, and folks will usually fold to any substantial preflop reraise. So I flat call preflop. I expect it to most likely be HU, but SB surprises me by calling. Then on the flop I only raised to $20. Usually I will raise a bit more here, but shortie is unlikely to have that many outs against me, and given his stack I won't have any trouble getting the rest in on the turn. SB again surprises me by coldcalling. Hrmm. Turn: Crap. I'm ready to fold here, but am surprised when it checks through. Would a K check this turn? Maybe. But somewhat dubious. River: SB checks yet again. What could he have? Then main villain pushes. I'm getting good odds here and have acted scared of the K. This may be a fold, but I don't think it's very clear. |

Re: Hey, you weren\'t invited! (100NL 6max)
BTW, I do agree with everyone that standard is definitely to reraise preflop. I will almost always do so. But in position against an unusually large PFR from a shortish stack, I think a call is defensible.
