Default On the bubble with jet lag and jacks

So I just got back from a two week vacation and was playing a $30 MTT on party yesterday when I came across this hand on the bubble, 60 left 50 get paid. Part of the reason for my break was because I was running really bad + possibly playing bad. I knew my mind wasn't all together since I accidentally open folded AQ off from the hijack the previous orbit due to contemplating Darren Daultons claims of astral travel/time skipping crap and other bs.

Anyways, is this an easy push with M of about 7? I was more worried about the cold caller having a hand but saw he and the original raiser both had decent stacks and I was ready to start drinking and catch up on Lost and the Sopranos so I just shoved. Bad?

The shove is fine, and if when losing you are going to watch the Sopranos, it becomes even more +lifeEV.

I'm pretty sure you're M is closer to 4 or so. 8900 chips for you...blinds 600/1200/50, so there is 2300 in pot to start...4x2300=9200.

Given this even lower M than you stated, you have a pretty strong hand, etc. I think you gots to push it.

With 4,000,000,000,000 chips I think I prefer a smooth-call.

ok so i'm officially retarded and can't do math. i thought m was based on the big blind and not bb + sb + antes. guess i should pick up hoh II, but if phil iveys never read a poker book i thought i could try to do without em too. eh, who wants to listen to a guy who shoves A10 into AQ anyways.

I thought the whole M thing (i.e., push with M<5) was predicated on the Hero being the first one into the pot. When I look at this I have this nagging feeling that I'm up against two people who both have two cards higher than my jacks.

Realistically, I push the jacks, but it seems like the math might not be as good it appears at first blush.

When your hand is mediocre to crap, being first in is very important. When you have a good hand (JJ certainly qualiying here) getting it in is good at almost any point. You'd be delighted to go against two sets of overcards, they are taking each others' outs and increasing your equity in the pot. Of course two underpairs would be better but we can't always get what we want.

Easy shove here...not enough chips to wait for anything better, if you can chase away one player with your AI, then there's a lot of dead money in the pot here too. I'd go head sup hre in a heart beat...I'm guessing that ACE on the flop didn't help your cause.
