Default Texas Hold \'Em Puzzle

to make sure I give proper credit, I found this on Richard Brodie's (Quiet Lion @ FTP) blog today. it was told to him through a friend of a friend named Alex...anyway -

"You're playing a pot with me heads up in Texas Hold 'Em. The turn card has been dealt and you currently have the best hand. However, no matter what card comes on the river, you can't win. What are the two hands and what is on the board?"

I've played with it for half an hour or so and the only answer I can come up with can't possibly count. I've listed it below in white...anyone have some hints or ideas? (Sorry if this has been posted before).

what if:

<font color="white">

you hold A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]/J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I hold A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]/T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

The board reads K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

now if the first burn card was the T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] &amp; the second was the T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], you can not win this pot - regardless of what comes off on the river.

ps - his site is www.brodietech.com/liontales/blog.htm for those who are interested. it's a fun read.</font>

Yours is def. a no go. The 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] means you still have the best hand.

I don't think it's possible to have 44 outs.

it's a matter of chop or lose...it just says you can't win...it's not a matter of 44 outs.

hint piz? i'd like to figure it out on my own...but i feel like i'm missing a logic move that i can't find. it's like those evil ass sudoku puzzles once they get to a level where I can't find the pattern.

Closest I've gotten is K3 vs. K4 (we have K4) on a 256J board. But we lose to a 4. Everything else is chop or win, if that gets you in a better direction.

well, from a logic standpoint it's the same as my posted guess...except since you put it at the bottom you eliminate all those pesky undercards that i left out. so yes, it does help for sure - but there's still a piece missing.

well if you know burn cards we can put a 3 flush on the board and have your case 4 make my flush.

So like I had Ks 4c
You have Kh 3c

Board is 4s 5s 2h Js and let the last 4 be the 4s
