Degan,

Aus banks are very stable...Commonwealth, National, Westpac and ANZ are the big four & St George next.

When investing overseas, you need to know that you are also making a currency play at the same time.

Most Aus commentators thing that the $AUD will devalue over the next 12 mths (range $US.72-.64). Should that happen, your interest gains would be wiped out and you could be stuck for some losses.

Aus poker players on the other hand will clean up!
