Default 10/20 NFD Spikes Ace on Turn

Villain is a good winning regular that has occasional spewtastic tendencies. He seems to be more aggro this session, but usually when he fires 3-barrels he has a hand that warrants it.

$10/$20 No Limit Holdem
5 players

Stacks:
UTG (<font color="#0000cc">$1991.00</font>)
CO (<font color="#0000cc">$170.00</font>)
Hero (<font color="#0000cc">$2512.00</font>)
SB (<font color="#0000cc">$2646.00</font>)
BB (<font color="#0000cc">$2331.00</font>)

Pre-flop: ($30, 5 players) Hero is BTN 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
<font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $80</font>, <font color="#777777">1 fold</font>, Hero calls $80, <font color="#777777">2 folds</font>

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($190, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $150</font>, Hero calls $150

Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($490, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $300</font>, Hero calls $300

River: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($1090, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $800</font>, <font color="#0000cc"> $800 to Hero ($1982)?</font>

I don't think I ever flat the flop here, just doesn't really fit in with my game.

granted I dont play this high, but here are my thoughts. This looks really close to me because you don't beat like anything, but your hands looks like exactly a draw so it seems likely villain could third barrel here.

Assuming he usually plays AJ-AK like this (capable of semi think vbets) then I think it's a fold.

does any one like a turn raise for a cheaper showdown when behind to better ace/ value when ahead?

I think this one is totally read dependent. On the surface it's a fold, but if he's been playing aggro and you like to float etc etc than you could make a case for calling... without knowing any of your guys' prior history and game flow it's a fold.

I think that raising the flop would have made this hand alot easier to play. What was your reasoning for flat calling the turn? I usually will put in a raise in this spot b/c i feel a good player can lay down alot of better aces when it looks like we hit two-pair or slow played a set.
