3-6 holdem, aggression question
Details are a bit sketchy because I have a terrible memory (one reason why i wonder if i should even try to win at poker!). No bets preflop and ~5 people see the flop. I flop the ignorant end of a straight with 789 (two of which are diamonds). Enemy bets, I raise, he re-raises, I think a bit then cap putting more pressure on him to need a hand to bet out with on the turn. Its 3-6 so naturally 1 or 2 others call (i know it wasnt heads up). Turn reveals neither a pair, a flush, or more of a straight. He bets, I call fearing the TJ. River, the same, he bets, I call.
He struck me as your average 3-6 player. Not a maniac, not a rock. Should I have been more aggressive? Less aggressive? Obviously I need to call down and make sure he has a better hand unless a diamond comes and the calling stations come alive (but even then hopefully it'd only be 1 bet and i'd still have to call). Ill post result later. |

Re: 3-6 holdem, aggression question
This belongs in small stakes hold em but I feel your play was reasonable, you probably lost the hand.
