Nut straight with a big redraw... how to proceed 5/10
5/10 4-handed, few hands in you get dealt T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the button. You raise to $35. Both SB(3.5k) and BB($700) call.
Flop comes J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]10[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Everyone checks. Turn comes Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], giving you the nut straight along with a redraw for the K-high flush/straight flush. SB leads for $25 into a $105 pot, BB calls, action's on you. What's your play? You have a full stack, no reads on either opponent but you assume SB to be at least decent (or very lucky in running up a 3.5k stack) and BB to be a calling station (loose-passive play). |

No one with a king is folding, and you have solid +EV if you get a caller. Puuuush.

Re: Nut straight with a big redraw... how to proceed 5/10
Although as noted by others, you would welcome getting allin with a freeroll against another straight, let alone against a worse hand, a player assumed to be decent is not going to call a push over a $25 bet into a $105 pot since he would be in fact leary of being freerolled on. So you definately want to build a bigger pot here, but you also don't want to run off all your customers. So the better play is to raise to maybe like $250 and hope one of them pushes over in response. 3 handed you are running the risk of 2 calls and a player with a set or 2 pair filling on the river, but that is a risk worth taking in order to build a bigger pot while not running off both of them. Of course if you had a read they would go broke in a small pot while being freerolled on then you would indeed push, but good players won't go for it.

On the flip side, pushing if you have the lone K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is very good for this reason as well
