Re: River Decision with possible 2nd best hand
From what I have seen giant river bets are either the nuts or desperation bluffs. I know many villain that do this with complete air on any 3flush board in an attempt to represent the flush.
However turn min-check raises usually mean uber strength and there are still way more villains tough that will do this with better flushes, Id fold it. |

Re: River Decision with possible 2nd best hand
This is def not a clear cut fold IMO... There's three possible flushes that beat u, heaps u beat... Would he'd play this differently with 89 of diamonds? I actually think I wud have a difficult time laying this against a random at these stakes, they overvalue there hands way to often... Most unknowns wont bet this big with a flush on the river either imo... And turn minraises always being strength is bs! I'll call

Call every single time. Infact I go all in here. You have a decent hand cash it in. You're not beaten her too often. He might even be slowplaying a set or something stupid.

Re: River Decision with possible 2nd best hand
I know we are not supposed to post results, but I find it interesting to tell you what happend this time.
I thought : the only hand that beats me is a higher flush, if he had it, maybe would he value bet it without betting so much, but I really didn't give him credit for having in mind "that other dude might have a flush as well, I'm going to move all in to stack him if that's the case" Considering the odds, the likeliness of a lesser flush OR some 2pair/set/67straight OR bluff, I called after emptying my time bank. He showed 10c 9h for a busted gutshot draw (!!!!!!!). .. |
