Final Pot: t-470

Is there a bettter way to play a hand like this. I figured there were a lot of cards that could come that could make playing the river difficult for me so I shoved. Plus I am OOP. What is the best way to optimize my value in a situation like this?

no i like the bet cant risk giving free cards bc 4 cards scare us j 10 q ace. plus our kicker here is good. there are possible draws so shoving turn is fine. if you are going to call here you might as well bet. this is NOT a way ahead way behind situation so we must protect our hand. in the former situation i love to induce bluffs by checking.

Too aggressive i think. You have a top pair but unless K,9,7,4,2(3 maybe)(non-spades) comes on turn you're in trouble. The main problem here is you're making the pot too big with a hand only good on the flop and that "level of good" is arguable in multiway pot. Combined with OOP i think C/C or C/R and fold to a shove is better here. If there's a raise on flop we're folding right?

To be honest with you I don't have much of a read here in this situation....i can't say what I would do to a raise on the flop...but if I played I think I would have to shove...not just call a flop raise because I don't have many chips so if I am just calling I might as well put them in myself. I see what you are saying but the way I played it made it easy for myself..doing that might become difficult if there are cards that come off that threaten my hand

??
you lead over pot and got called in 2 spots
the turn was obviously an awesome brick, but overbet shoving here is bad
